There are now several pet photographers out there and it seems like new ones are popping in and out every day, while only a few persevere.  This creates much confusion as to who does what and how, and just who are these people, anyway? So, it's time for an introduction.


Who Are We?

Animal Instincts, based in Newburg, PA, has been traveling the eastern United States since 1993. Prior to this, Jeanette Rowan was photographing children and families, when hired by a pet photo company for one season. During this time she was bitten by the "there has got to be a better way" bug and struck out on her own. About two years passed, when along stumbled Kerry Kelly, a photographer from New York state who was sick and tired of being bitten by children and was looking for a way to either: a) find a much better photography job, or b) follow an old calling to work with animals. So, with beagle in tow it was off to Pennsylvania. Before long the improvement bug struck again. Instead of parting ways, the two combined forces to provide the finest in pet portraiture. Since then, things have never been quite the same!

Well, capturing your pet's personality and most natural expressions is what we do best! Our portraiture is offered through host locations such as groomers, pet boutiques, clubs and veterinarians, allowing our host to provide their customers with the best quality pet portraits available, at reasonable prices, and with service unsurpassed by any other! In addition to portraits, our product line includes mugs, mouse pads, t-shirts, totes, folios... the list goes on ... personalized, of course, with everyone's favorite hairy faces! We aim to make your pet portrait event as easy and stress-free as possible. More than that, we want it to be rewarding, satisfying, and just plain fun!

So... HOW Do We Do What We Do?

Our program can be customized to meet the needs of each and every host location. The promotion kit will generate excitement in your shop! It includes portraits, gift samples, posters, flyers, coupons, informational sheets, and mailers as needed. Telephone service and appointment setting are also available. On the day of the big event , our specially outfitted mobile studio arrives, complete with all the equipment, supplies, props, special skills and professionalism necessary to make the event a success.... lights, camera, maybe a little magic...lots of action.... and of course, the genuine love for the animals that really sets us apart from the rest of the pack.
